This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed in the mobile application Polyglot Trainer: Listen & Learn (the “Application”).

1. Information Directly Requested by the Application

The Application does not require users to create an account and does not directly request:

Learning courses, phrases, settings, selected languages, and other data created by the user in the Application are primarily stored locally on the user’s device.

2. Local Data Storage

The Application may store the following data on the device:

This data remains on the device until it is deleted by the user, the Application data is cleared, or the Application is uninstalled.

The developer does not have access to locally stored learning courses and settings, except when individual phrases are sent for cloud-based speech synthesis.

3. Cloud-Based Speech Synthesis

Users with an active subscription may use cloud-based speech synthesis.

When this feature is used, the Application transmits the following data through a secure internet connection:

The data is sent to the Application’s server, after which the text may be transmitted to Google Gemini to generate an audio recording.

Users should not submit passwords, banking information, medical information, or other confidential or personal information for cloud-based speech synthesis.

4. Cloud Speech Cache

To speed up repeated speech synthesis and reduce duplicate requests, the server may store:

Cached audio recordings are not linked to a user’s name, email address, or user account.

Cached audio files may be stored until they are automatically deleted, replaced, or removed during server cache maintenance.

To request deletion of specific cached content, users may contact support@tellmepls.com and provide the phrase text, language, voice, and approximate date on which the feature was used. Deletion is possible when the relevant cached content can be technically identified.

5. Advertising

In the free version, the Application may display advertising using Google AdMob.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process the following categories of data:

Users with an active subscription do not see advertisements in the Application.

Advertising data is processed by Google and, in some cases, Google’s advertising partners in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Analytics

The Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase.

This service may automatically collect technical and statistical information, such as:

This information is used to analyze the performance of the Application, identify errors, and improve its features.

The developer does not use analytics data to independently identify a specific user.

7. Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity

To protect cloud features from automated requests, abuse, and unofficial copies of the Application, the Application uses Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity.

These services may process technical information about the device, the Application, and the integrity of its installation. The resulting tokens are used to confirm that a request comes from an official version of the Application.

8. Subscription and Payments

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play.

The developer may receive information from Google Play that is required to determine subscription status, such as:

The developer does not receive the user’s bank card number or other complete payment details. Payment information is processed by Google.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

The Application may use the following third-party services to provide certain features:

Each provider may process information in accordance with its own terms of service and privacy policy.

Information may be shared with third-party providers only to the extent necessary for:

Data may be processed on servers located outside the user’s country of residence.

11. Data Security

Data transmitted between the Application and the server is protected using HTTPS.

Additional measures may include:

Despite these safeguards, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data is retained until it is deleted by the user, the Application data is cleared, or the Application is uninstalled.

Temporary audio files on the device may be automatically deleted by the operating system.

Cached server-side audio files are retained until they are deleted or replaced during cache maintenance.

Data retention periods for third-party services are determined by the policies of the relevant service providers.

Because the Application does not create user accounts, the developer does not maintain a centralized user profile that can be deleted.

Requests related to server-side data or privacy may be sent to support@tellmepls.com.

13. Children

The Application is intended for language learning and is not designed to intentionally collect personal data from children.

If the developer becomes aware that a child’s personal information has been submitted without the required consent of a parent or legal guardian, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time when the Application’s features, service providers, or legal requirements change.

The current version of this Privacy Policy will be published at the same web address. The date of the latest update will be shown at the beginning of the document.
